Diplomacy is the art and science of maintaining peaceful relations between nations, groups or individuals. . Often, diplomacy refers to representatives of different groups discussing issues such as conflict, trade, environment, technology or security. People who practice diplomacy are called diplomats. It may seem that the fundamental prerequisite for the expansion of diplomatic relations throughout the world was the existence of independent States capable of developing political relations with each other. Be that as it may, the history of diplomacy is far ahead of that of the modern sovereign nation-state. For this reason, it seems necessary to briefly address the circumstances in which a number of practices of public and private communication between different political entities that have existed since ancient times have undergone different historical changes until they are conventionally defined as the exclusive attribute of the sovereign nation-state.
